European quarter Frankfurt

The European quarter is Frankfurt’s newest neighborhood even though the development started in 2005. In former times it was the location of the main freight terminal, but as its importance declined over the years, the German Federal Railways decided to sell the area.
In the meantime, most of the buildings have been completed or are in their final stages of construction. The development should be completed with the opening of the subway line in 2025.
As you can expect from Germany's skyscraper capital, you'll find some interesting construction here and in the surrounding neighborhoods.
