Wildpark Bad Mergentheim

Arctic Fox - Wildlife Park Bad Mergentheim - Germany

Somehow I didn't make it to my favorite wildlife park last year. Not that I skipped wildlife photography completely. During my safari in South Africa, I shot more than enough, I simply missed Bad Mergentheim.

I was there in early June what was too early to see young ones. The park knows that they have new wolves, but they still hide in the forest. But also the older wolves are pretty photogenic if you wait for them to pose. Feeding time, by the way, is not the preferred option. They get more than enough meat for everyone and although there is quite some movement, it's rare that something interesting is happening.

The opposite applies to the Vultures. They are most properly my favorites here and the only chance you can get inside the fence is during feeding times. Then they get really close and you can take nice portraits even without a super long lens.
