Yuen Yuen Institute - Hong Kong

Yuen Yuen Institute - Hongkong - China

Hong Kong has dozens of temples. The most famous one might be Man Mo on Hong Kong Island. But from my point of view, this is mainly due to the location which makes him easily accessible for mainstream tourists. If you want to see something more “real” you have to look a little bit abroad.

Yuen Yuen Institute, where this picture was taken, is not a usual temple as it is dedicated to all three main religions practiced in Hong Kong: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. It is located in Tsuen Wan what you can easily reach by MTR, but to come to the temple needs some walking (or a taxi).

In walking distance you can find two more temples: Xi Yuen (just below Yuen Yuen Institute and Chuk Lam Sim Yuen [a little bit away, but there is a footpath you can use as a shortcut to get there]).
